Best Hotel and Best Area

What is the best part of town to stay in and what is the nicest hotel?

Surlok Aug 13th, 2003 09:59 AM

Precisely where?

From Ishul's other thread it looks like he is going to Prague.

Ishul: this post is basically useless. You don't mention the city or even the country. You need to try again and be sure to put Prague (if that is where you are asking about) in your title.

Since this thread is already destined for the scrap-heap of uselessness, let me jump in here and say...

Surlok!!???

You're back? (and have been for quite some time now, I see) - - I can't believe that I hadn't noticed until now! Glad to see you back on this forum, and it amazes me that neither you nor I have posted anywhere on the same thread anytime in the past several months!

Could the return of Elvira be far behind? or might it be that she has been here in one of the many post-registration re-incarnation names all along?

In any event, good to see you...

Best wishes,

Rex

I suspect that's really all he wanted to hear from someone, Rex, anyway!

Hello, Rex!!

I've never actually "abandoned" this board. Sometimes I 'm in a more helpful mood, and sometimes I think it's better to "retreat" for a little while. Also, I don't have anymore the patience to repeat the very same subject over and over again..

As for Elvira, haven't seen her around for a while. And I don't have a clue if she is around, using an unknown, re-incarnated or not, identity to post. I recall her style, which I very much enjoyed, so, any Elviras, as far as style and wit are similar to the original would be really welcome to this board.

Am I wrong, or you too, are now less present than you used to be some time ago, maybe since registration became mandatory, and most provocative posters have given up...

I've seen many posts asking for the type of advice on subjects about which you're quite an expert, and I rarely have seen you responding. Even your "tone" has changed. _In fact, since registration, the whole board's "tone" has changed.

Good to see you, too, Rex!

I am here somewhat less than I used to be - - partly determined from changing work schedules (though they may settle down again before long), and even more because we have been "in transit", career-wise and residence for the past several months (building a new house).

As to "tone", well some of my attempts to be in a sarcastic way were clearly more biting than necessary. I do find myself restrained from time to time now, when I have a "smart-ass" post that crosses through my head. I suppose that many knew that I also used to post under pseudonyms - - many were recognizable (to some, I think), in that the answer began in the "identity" and in the "e-mail address" boxes.

I suppose I commented on your absence since I found no posts from you from the time of the start of registration until roughly the end of April. But it was as striking to me as anything that you HAD indeed posted 50 times or so in the past 60-70 days, and I simply had not stumbled upon any of those threads.
