Tragic and funny story- I've been going to Sardinia for more than twenty five years now. On one of my first trips there, Ali Khan, the super rich guy that was once married to Rita Hayworth, was looking for investors in his development of a very large area in northeast Sardinia. It is now called La Costa Smeralda. Naturally, I did not invest. The original minimum investment was $5000, and two years ago, that investment was worth $7 million. Not only that, but later included in the deal, was an interest in Meridiana Airline. Had I jumped in, it might have now been called "Waldo Airline".
