There is no best, but we all have our favorites. In England, my favorite is Sissinghurst. However, my favorite garden in the UK is Bodnant, which is in Wales, especially if you can be there mid-May to June, when the Laburnum Arch is in full bloom. Absolutely magnificent. The one garden that was a disappointment (at least to me) was Hidcote. Although it is a favorite stop for all the tourist buses, I just wasn't that impressed with what I saw there.
