BEST DESSERT YOU HAD IN EUROPE?
The question about British desserts got me remembering a fabulous dessert I had in Switzerland back in 1994. It was at the Old Swiss House right near the lake at Lucerne. The main course was delicious fish, but the dessert was absolutely superb. The waitress flambed various fruits at our table and they were flambed in three alcoholic beverages - one was kirsch but I can't remember the other two (will check my diary when I get home from work). Anyway, I was wondering what other memorable desserts other Fodorites have enjoyed in their European travels.

The made from scratch chocolate mousse at, hey Joanne, the Old Swiss House in Lucerne. The made it from scratch right at the table. This was in 1984, and in all my trips to Europe, nothing has compared. The chocolate ice cream at Berthillion in Paris runs a close second.
