best dates for traveling in Spain

We are planning a trip to Spain in 2017. We like to travel when it's not too hot or too cold, is end of March good weather there? If not, when? Thank you.

depends on the part of the country... South is very different than north

I like end of April or early October ...

As danon says, it depends on the region you plan to visit. Consult a good guidebook, which should provide climate information for each major region, or look up specific cities on wunderground.com

The South and Barcelona can get hot by middle to late May. March can be cool and rainy in certain parts of the North.

And then there is the vagaries of weather.

April or October is even better

I would not do later than April in the South. We have been to Andalusia twice in April and we had highs well into the 80s although it was pleasantly cool at night (60s). Then when we got to Madrid (end April) it was 99.

The only place in Spain I know that has decent weather in the summer is the Atlantic coast around San Sebastian.

Our only trip to Barcelona was in the upper 90s in late June and we were so glad to head to France for cooler weather (still warm but not hellish).

I was in Madrid the last 10 days in April this year.....it was rainy and coolish
....65 -70 .. .
Last year , early Oct. In Madrid was perfect, same time a few years ago...much cooler
and rainy.
During La Semana Santa in Seville a few years ago ( April) ...several processions were canceled
because of the rain.
