Best currency exchange

I will be traveling to Holland this April and would like to know tips on getting the best currency exchange. Should I exchange for Euros here or over in Holland ? And if in Holland were would I get the best rate. I have also heard that Europeans still like the green back and if I bring cash will that help me getting a litle extra on the side(better seats or service)?

Use an ATM in Europe for all your cash needs (be sure to get a four-digit PIN). Use your credit card for anything you can--you'll get the best exchange rate this way.

With the fees that most bank's charge for ATM usage, I have always found that my credit cards offered the best rates.

With credit card banks charging a 2% exchange fee for each charge made this is equal to the $5 ATM fee your bank will charge if you withdraw $250 in Euros from the foreign ATM. So if you withdraw an amount above $250 you save a small amount. Never exchange your $ in the US.

I agree with others that ATMs are usually the cheapest way to get foreign currency.
Dutch people like their own money (euros) best and if you pay in US$ or any other currency you will always pay more. So change your US$ to euros!
