L'Atelier is in Arles which is a 20 min drive away-very doable. Don't pass up the opportunity--easily one of the best dining experiences and value I have ever had. Cheers. Paul

hi gracejoan ! Yes, L'atelier is open for lunch and dinner.

He's changed his closing days around because of the summer, so at the moment he's open on Sunday, closed Monday night I believe. In winter he's closed Sunday and Monday.

JES...

AFter also trying to find out which issue of American Saveur it was in, it turns out it was apparently in their issue in Dacember or January of this year listing the top 100. At the time they still listed him as being at the Chassagnette, although he'd already left there the beginning of November.

So far I still haven't seen it...

Thanks Pat....When I am in Cabezac for my first stop in Sept., I checked with via Michelin and Arles is a 1:46 drive!! Why not make it a lunch drive!!Did I read that they do not take e-mail reservations? Just via phone?

Joan,

I think they only take phone reservations.
If you want to send me an email with the date you want, I'll be happy to call for you.

Thanks Pat. Thinking more about it, I would be taking away the sight seeing that I want to do in the area where I am staying..that's the reason I am staying there!!

I have rented a place for a month in the Dordogne next year. I will take a few days from there and make reservations with Christine and Phillipe at La Riboto de Taven. Michelin says it is about a 5 hr. drive. I can then enjoy the wonderful Alpilles! Sounds like a better plan....

Thanks Pat--I was going crazy looking for that!

I was able to reserve by email. It was an unbelievable meal for a great value (we went for lunch). However, if you have limited time, and are far from the area, you have to weigh what is more important to you--sightseeing or the food experience!
Personally, I would only do it if my travels took me within 20-30 minutes of the restaurant.

It looks fantastic. We'll be in Arles in April and will definately make a reservation. Does anyone know if they can accommodate 12 for lunch without jumping through hoops?

The restaurant, while not large, certainly has seating for 12. Your best bet is to ask via the email on their website - they are typically quite responsive.
