Best Cell Phone Options for Study Abroad Student In Paris? - Help!
 

Hello,

My daughter will be studying abroad in Paris for this upcoming fall semester. Her study abroad program (ISA) is recommending that the students use PicCell for phone service in France.
We are hesitant to use PicCell however as the last group of students from her college used them and incurred horrific roaming charges.

We also were told to look at www.phonehouse.fr for a phone that is similar to a tracfone called "portables sans abonnemont" but the website is completely in french and does not recognize that term.

Help!! Has anyone recently sent their student abroad and had a good experience with cell phone service in Paris?

We are looking for a phone that my daughter and her 3 roommates can all purchase or rent to communicate with each other while in Paris and when they are traveling in other countries as well....most likely Spain, Italy and Germany.
I am not worried about communcation to the U.S. We will use Skype and her AT & T phone for emergencies for that.
