Best Budget Restaurants
We will be visiting Dublin, Kilkenny, Dingle and Galway and are looking for good restaurants with moderate prices. Also, a tourist menu or a fixed price dinner.

Try,
Milano's (pizza) on Dawson Street Cafe Bar Deli - Georges Street Nude - Suffolk street at the bottom of Grafton Street - healthy sandwiches and juices Kilkenny shop - Cafe upstairs is excellent The Joy of Coffee - cafe in Temple Bar Salamanca - Suffolk Street Munchies- Sandwich place on Wicklow street corner The Dome - St Stephens Green Shopping Centre 3rd floor open during the day only. Don't be fooled by Bewleys, its not cheapanymore and has gone down a bit. Its fine but I don't think its worth the cash. Let me know if you have a specific question |
On our trip last summer we found that most places served large portions and a lot of potatoes...go figure (one meal actually came on a bed of mashed potatoes, fries, and boiled potatoes on a seperate vegetable tray!). We saved money by splitting meals or eating appetizers as a meal then saving room to split a desert. Many appetizers came with salad on the side. I was surprised how good the desserts were, very fresh with fresh cream!!
that said...Dingle go to the Half Door |
Midi in Dingle and McDonagh's in Galway.
