Best Beer !

Poland may have the best beers in the world. The variety is great. Dark beers, light beers and strong beers. Pubs serve tap beer that is cold and clear. Try them all. Alcohol content is on label. Zero to 10%. Body varies. Price from $.50 to $1 per 1/2 liter. Pub prices vary..maybe 5 slotych 1/2 liter. The Marriott is 12 or more. Foreign beers are expensive and of low alcohol content. Read the label. My favorite is Kiper-ekstra mocne..8.1 alk. .5 liter 2.99 z./$.75. Please suggest your favorite.

When we were in Paris a few years ago there was an incredible pub down the street from our hotel. It had so many different beers from every country imaginable. We still talk about the strawberry beer we enjoyed one evening.
The other time was in Munich when we had our very first wiest(sp.?) (wheat)beer outside in the main square. I can still remember how we sighed with enjoyment!

George,

Been to Poland didn't notice all those beers. Would suggest, however that the best beers are in the Czech Republic.

Budvar #1, Staropramen, Radagast, Pilner Urquel etc

Great beer...great prices!

US

I would agree, Budvar would be the best although I like Spaten (Munich) as well. Belgium has some fine beers as well but they are not to my liking..I believe Budvar (Budveiser in Czech) is sold under the name of Czechvar in the states due to A/B Budweiser.

My vote would be for Belgium. So many different types, flavors and even double and triple alcohol strengths.

Being a great beer lover, let me submit the following beer website that I think you will all appreciate.
http://www.xs4all.nl/~patto1ro/index.htm

Germany has the most variety and the best beers in the world. They are all natural, no artificial ingredients. Next would be the Czech Republic with Budvar and Pilsner Urquel (the first beer - dating from the 12th century)

Weizen (wheat) beer in Germany is very light, served ice-cold (but not WITH ice) in a very, very tall glass with a slice of lemon.
