Best beaches in Corsica?

My friend and I are planning to go to Corsica for about a week. Where are the best beaches in Corsica? Whats the best town to base yourself in for real beach bums?
Any good cheap places to stay? Are the Beaches crowded in mid June? Thanks for your advice!!!

My wife and I are spending a couple of weeks in Corsica in June - first timers - so we'd welcome a report on your trip. Particularly advice on beaches.

Any feedback on Corsica? I'm going in June with a friend for about a week and would appreciate any suggestions for places to stay, memorable hikes and/or restaurants, etc. We're thinking of driving from Bastia around Cap Corse, Calvi, the interior to Corte and further to Zonza, Porto Vecchio, Bonifacio, Ajaccio, Piana and Porto.

We did 10 days last June. If your budget stretches to such places, we thought Hotel Casadelmar near Porto Vecchio was outstanding. Also Hotel La Signoria near Calvi - it has a private stretch of beach on Calvi Plage which was great. Overall Corsica is fairly expensive, but probably worth it.
