Best beach destination in Europe

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some advice on a one week trip that I'm planning for June.
In you opinion what is the best beach destination to go? I'm currently in London.

Many thanks!

Want nightlife too or just the beach?

In terms of nightlife and beaches - Mallorca or Ibiza.

In terms of natural beaches absolutely none of Europes beaches come close to those in the Caribbean, other than those on Sardinia.

Nightlife and beaches: central Algarve (Albufeira, Praia da Rocha).
Natural beaches: eastern Algarve (Tavira).

Crete for both.

Scotland- west coast islands-for everything except guaranteed sun

I agree with Algarve. There is a great, wide, white sand beach in Tavira. Good nightlife in Albufeira.

I have to say that if the weather is fine here in England St Ives in Cornwall is just about the best there is. Crab sandwiches and a glass of Chardonnay in The Sloop at lunchtime and just watching the surf roll in or the sunset over the Atlantic in the evening is paradise.
