Best B&B in Florence for 3-4 nights?
 

By best I really mean reasonable as well...we checked out il villino...too pricy....and Bargellino(??)..too far away from main sights I am told..we need a double around 100E, give or take...your recommendations?

Tourist House Ghiberti. Michelin recommended. In your price range. I've stayed there and found the location and the service, and the cleanliness of the rooms great. Added bonus: It's part of the building where Ghiberti worked.

We've stayed at B&B Dei Mori (http://www.bnb.it/deimori/) our last two trips (Oct '07 and '08) and highly recommend it. Great location and wonderful people. Only drawback is that it's on the 2nd floor (two flights up) with no elevator. However, it's a great way to work off all those great meals and gelato! I'm not in the best of shape and could handle the stairs. It's 120 euro's for a double. They also give a 5% discount for 3+ nights.

In Florence my suggestion for B&B is B&B ANTICA POSTA (www.anticaposta.net) not far from the train station.
It is really a lovely place to stay.

Another recommendation for Tourist House Ghiberti. Excellent central location, very nice rooms.

Ghiberti is too pricey...144E a night..for us right now, anyways

I would try the residenza Johanna group, they have several B&B's in the heart of Florence and and quite reasonable prices (80 Euro up to 150 euro). We stayed several years ago at the Johanna, which was very comfortable and an easy walk to the Doumo. Breakfast was minimal, but with cafes all around who cared at 80 euro in Florence? I would have preferred the Johlea, a little more upmarket but it was booked out that weekend.
