Bernina Pass hotels

I have 2 "spare" nights in my July holiday & would like to spend them in the Bernina Pass/Pontresina area. Are there any recommendations for villages/hotels, up to 3 star prices.

Deborah: You might want to have a look at Hotel*** and Residence**** "Rosatsch" in Pontresina. They have an own wellness center and spa
www.hotel-rosatsch.ch

A very nice place is the Hotel "Saratz" in Pontresina, but it's a 4-star. Anyway, here's their page:
www.saratz.ch

Try to book early, mid-July is peak holiday season in Switzerland and the Engadine is a famous hiking paradise.

You should try Kochendoerfer's Hotel Albris. Very good food and familiar atmosphere - although they do not have a wellness center I think it is a good choice, too.

www.albris.ch
I am afraid it is only in German.

Ingo

Ingo: Wow, that looks like a very nice place, indeed. I might be in the Pontresina area this coming summer for a weekend, as my sister usually rents an appartment there. Looks as if one must try those lovely cakes at the Albris.

Ingo & Ursula,
Thank you both for your replys. I think I will try the Kochendoerfer, as I have eaten lunch there several times on my way between Merano & Bellagio. Lunch, & the cakes, have always been wonderful.
Deborah
