Bernina Express - leaving bags
If we are traveling from Chur, Switzerland to Tirano, Italy via the Bernina Express and then taking a private taxi from Tirano, Italy to our next destination, but would like to stop somewhere in Tirano, Italy to eat lunch...would the train station hold our luggage? Would their be a charge?
Also, does anyone know how the food is on the Bernina Express? If the food is good, then we would not need to eat any where in Tirano, Italy and can take the taxi about 45 minutes after we "arrive" in Tirano.
Thanks!

There IS no food in any sort of "restaurant car" on the Bernina and if there were, anyone from any class could use it.
What there IS, or at least used to be, is one of those carts being wheeled through the cars which sells everything from sandwiches (if you can call them that) to souvenirs.
I would either take something on with me or wait until Tirano.
