Is making a trip to Bern from Paris worthwhile?

<BR>Bern is a lovely and pretty town. I am not sure, however, if it worth the long drive from Paris. <BR>AA

No, we will take a train from Paris. What are the things to see in Bern?

Alana - the train is still almost five hours - that would be ten hours travel time, are you sure you would want to do that in one day!?!

With an overnight stay.

Bern is nice. I have actually traveled by train from there to Paris. It is still several hours. Personally, I wouldn't travel from Paris to Bern just to visit Bern unless you are planning on staying a while and perhaps visiting other places such as the Alps in the Berner Oberland. You could also try to see other parts of France on the way. I believe Dijon is on the same line, for example.
