Berlin to Amsterdam
 

We are starting our trip in Berlin. We will be there for 5 nights, have a car rented, and will be heading towards Amsterdam. We have 9 nights before we have to be in Amsterdam. We are currently looking at 3 nights in Lubeck and 3 nights in Bremen. That leaves 3 nights open.

We are looking for suggestions on where to spend the other 3 days.

I would look at Groningen and the whole west Friesland region, using Groningen as a base.

West Friesland is the North Holland province. Do you mean the province of Friesland, Lavandula? In that case I would choose one of the Frisian cities as a base, Leeuwarden perhaps, but Harlingen is even nicer, with the chance of an excursion to either Vlieland or Terschelling to spend some time on a Frisian island.

Thanks for correcting me Menachem, I guess I meant Friesland, where West Frisian is spoken (as opposed to East Frisian or North Frisian, which is in Germany). I didn't really know the name, but yes, I meant somewhere like Leeuwarden, which you can get to from Groningen pretty easily.

Just saying, that if you have a chance of visiting one of the Frisian islands, it is something you might seriously consider, both on the German and the Frisian coast.
