Berlin or Amsterdam?

Which city is more interesting and has more things to do and see?

Extremely tough question...

...though I would vote for Berlin.

The Pergamon museum by itself is worth the visit. The Cathedral was quite interesting, as were the Egyptian museum and Checkpoint Charlie. Treptow Park may be the highpoint of communist glorification, but I found it eerily moving. Just walking the streets of East Berlin can be quite an experience, not to mention looking at the remaining pieces of the Wall.

Try to count the cranes. You won't be able to.

And, by all means, eat as many kebabs as you can.
