Berlin Hotel - Radisson Blu versus Melia - Thoughts?

Hey everyone - my husband and I are looking for a Berlin hotel for 3 nights in March and it's between these 2. The prices (within our budget), reviews and quality (from what I can tell) seem very comparable. Any thoughts on why we should pick one over the other. The locations are slightly different, but is one's particuarly better?

I know I should just pick one, but I'm being indecisive and am "over-researching" - so thanks a lot in advance!

We stayed for 5 nights last Oct. at Melia and loved it. Great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms with a view of the water. Berlin is a great city - so much to see and do.
Take the Berlin Walks WWII tour - you won't be disappointed.

I prefer the Radisson.
I like it's proximity to Hackesche Hoefe and the neighbouring areas where people actually live as well as the short walk to Museum Island vs. the closeness of the Melia to the government buildings.
I also like the design of the rooms (although I would prefer if their beds were up to Marriott standards) slightly better.

You won't go wrong with either, though, and they are really not that far apart.

never stayed at Radisson, but loved Melia.

Thank you for all of your advice - I really appreciate it!

Loved the Melia and prefer the location to that of the Radisson.

If the Melia is good enough for the Great and Powerful Thingorjus, it is certainly good enough for you.

We booked the Melia and are excited to stay there. Thanks again everyone!

The Radisson Blu has the better location and is probably the better hotel.

But since Fodorites are conservative, and since one of them has stayed at the Melia some years ago, the American Fodorites will prefer the Melia forever. Continue the myth!

My ex-husband is Portugal's most famous drag queen.

If that is conservative to you, never drive through Alabama at night.

We stayed there 2 months ago and loved it!

Echnaton - lower your nose. You can't see where you're walking.

I was looking for a cheap, yet comfortable hotel in the center of Berlin in February for a couple (30+).
After searching the internet for a while, I found (in http://www.easyclicktravel.com) in cheap price.

The hotel is Lenordo hotel (http://www.leonardo-hotels.com/Leonardo_Hotel_Berlin) - highly recommended. A great service and nice rooms, in a reasonable price, the concierge there simply saved us...

We just booked again for the Melia after our wonderful experience there last year. We were all over the city and so pleased we had chosen this hotel and this location.
