Berlin Hotel location

Any opinions on the Courtyard Marriott hotel at Axel-Springer-Strasse 55. How is the location?
Thanks,
Mike

I haven't stayed in that hotel but am familiar with the area. It's close to the Nikolaiviertel tourist area and close to the underground so it's practical. Just a block north of Krausenstrasse is the busy & large Leipzigerstrasse. Most of the tourist destinations in the Mitte are north of that Leipzigerstrasse and south of Unter den Linden.

I was on Krausenstr last week and remembered about this post, so I checked inside the Courtyard hotel. The staff was super nice/eager, they showed me all the different rooms even though I told them I'm already staying somewhere else. The standard rooms actually have better/bigger windows than the suites/junior suites. The room views are somewhat depressing except for the ones overlooking Krausenstrasse, so do request. It's a new hotel but don't expect luxury, the bathrooms are very plain but adequate. The staff claimed that the beds are similar to Marriott beds, so it should be comfortable. The exercise room looks more like a home gym facility. The hotel restaurant however has a nice atmosphere serving Australian cuisine (Kangaroo steak etc). There are many city buses passing along Leipzigerstrasse which is just a block north of the hotel.
