BERLIN FLEA MARKETS
 

Anybody know of any Berlin Flea markets? The kind with antiques or collectables or interesting stuff as opposed to the brick-a-brack or newer items. Are any held on weekdays? What kind of goodies did you find?<BR>Thanks.

What is a flea market?

There is a great flea market in Stra&szlig;e des 17 8am-5pm Sat-Sun, quality ranging from junk to Rosenthal china. I bought a number of marks from the 1910's-1920's to illustrate the inflation rate.<BR><BR>A flea market is a place were vendors gather to sell dry goods, sometimes antiques, sometimes new.

I think there is one by the museums also. It too is on Sat. & Sun. My husband found some neat WWII stuff but was afraid to bring it across customs.

On the last Sunday of every month in Leipzig there is an antiques market, as well. Leipzig is a short train ride from Berlin.

Berlin is cool.
