berlin, dresden and prague

it's somewhat ambitious but here it is
2 nights in berlin
3 nights in prague
1 night in dresden

Should we spend more time in berlin rather than prague? or forget dresden altogether?

Thanks

Sorry, yes, I think it is too ambitious and by the looks of your question you know it already.

3 nights are the absolute minimum that you want in any of these places so 3 places into 6 nights just doesn't go, particularly when you factor in the amount of time it takes to check out, travel, check in, get your bearings etc etc.

So sadly I would suggest forgetting about Dresden on this trip, unless you were prepared to stop off there en route from Berlin to Prague. For example there is a non-stop train from Berlin main station at 8.59am arriving in Dresden at 11.07am. and trains from Dresden to Prague at 15.10 and 17.10 taking 2.16 minutes. if you didn't mind arriving fairly late into Prague that would be a possibility.

Trains from Berlin to Prague stop in Dresden, so as annhig suggests you could stop for a few hours.
There is also a direct train leaving Berlin at 6:59am, arriving Dresden 9:07 if you wanted more time or an earlier arrival in Prague.

Direct trains from Dresden to Prague leave every 2hrs, (on the odd hour) at 10min past. 7:10, 9:10, 11:10, etc. so your travel options are quite flexible depending on where you want to spend the night, incl one night in Dresden then an early train on to Prague the next day.

I have done several day trips to Prague and thoroughly enjoyed them even though I didn't spend enough time to see the entire city. It wasn't until my 3rd or 4th trip that I actually spent a few days there. There is no right or wrong answer - it all depends on your travel style and what you find important to you.

With the limited amount of time in Dresden, make the Green Vault a priority:

With the limited amount of time in Dresden, make a drink and a snack/meal at the Schillergarten, next to the Blue Wonder Bridge priority

I felt rushed with 5 full days in Berlin. Your trip, your call.

Sorry, but without any information regarding why you even picked these three cities as well as what your actual interests are, it is difficult to suggest anything I might think would be of actual interest to you like drinking beer anywhere.
