Berlin at Christmas - will everything be closed?

What can we expect travelling to Berlin Dec 23-26 (leaving Dec 27 in morning)? Assuming things will be closed on the 25th, but what about the other days?

Thank you very much.

I will be in Berlin on Christmas Day. I am staying at the Melia Hotel on Friedrichstrasse. My hotel room will be open to visitors as long as they bring some cheer (like Krug 1963).

Dec 23 - Sunday - stores open from 1-8
Dec 24 - Christmas Eve = stores often close early (4pm, 6pm)
Dec 25&26 - stores closed on both days of Christmas (public holidays)

If you desperately need groceries or similar, there are supermarkets in the major train stations.

Opening hours of sights and attractions vary.
For example, the major Berlin museums in the Mitte district open on Dec 24 from 10-2, and on Dec 25/26 as on regular working days, i.e. 10-6.

Restaurants, bars, clubs are always open. Some can be busy on Dec 25 but there are many alternatives.

Public transport runs on holiday schedules, which means not more than early and late commuter and additional rush hour services do not operate. The subways or buses you might want to use from a tourist's perspective are not affected.
