Berlin

I have been unsuccessful in finding a direct non-stop flight to Berlin. I am thinking of April or December and also thinking of flying into Prague; take the train to Berlin (spend about 5 days there). Train back to Prague for 2 or 3 days. So, direct non stop round trip flight from NY to Prague.

I really want to see Berlin and Hambug. Any suggestions, ideas?

Thanks.................ja

From where?

Frankfurt might be a better option than Prague.

Oops - just saw the NYC reference.

United, Continental, and Lufthansa all fly non-stop to Berlin from Newark. There are fares around $880 right now for April departures.

The United, Continental, and Lufthansa flights are all one and the same flight, operated by Continental.

When the UA/CO merger is completed that'll become of course a United flight.

When the new Berlin Int'l airport opens in mid 2012 I believe Lufthansa will greatly increase their presence there, but I don't know about their long-haul plans.

Air Berlin flies from JFK.

I visited Hamburg from Berlin for 24 hours ,liked the city...but it was July so the weather was good.
Wished I had another day in Hamburg.
Prague is lovely, you might stop in Dresden between Berlin and Prague.
