Bergen to Trondheim on a ferry?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you can help me as I'm planning my next trip to scandinavia this summer.

I really prefer the small day ferries to large cruise liners, but I would like to work my way up from Bergen to Trondheim, with a stop or two along the way. What are my options? Does anyone have any excursions in mind or particular ships they recommend?

Thanks as always!

The coastal passenger ships have almost all been replaced by fast catamarans, or by car ferries on short crossings linked by buses. You can go from Bergen to Trondheim on Hurtigruten (www.hurtigruten.com). Otherwise, all public transport in Norway is on www.rutebok.no.
