Ben Haines

Has anybody seen a posting by Ben Haines recently?

Everytime there is a train question, I look to see if Ben responded. Unfortunately, I have not seen a posting by Ben.

Have I just been missing his informative answers? Or ...?

Just saw one from Ben dated 7/22/2006.
I think he is still giving his usual help.
I just wish that Thomas Cook schedule book was more commonly found over here.
Even major libraries in the US don't have it.

Brookwood, Mr. Haines is on the forum, you must have just missed him. There's one today, 7/23 helping with lots of details for an "overnight trains" question.

Bob,

I always buy mine directly from Thomas Cook at
http://www.thomascookpublishing.com/...ies=Timetables

It takes about two weeks to get to Michigan and costs about $30 including priority mail shipping.

Ben is certainly "in business." See his detailed reply to the overnight trains question from huntley.

It is nice to be looked for. I am alive and well.

I agree with Hopscotch and if you buy one of the Cook Timetables at the right time of year it is basically current for months despite their monthly "updates."

It's always nice to see him posting!

I saw him on a Prague thread earlier today.
