Bellagio Help Needed

My wife and I will be staying for 3 days in Bellagio the first days of June. We will be arriing from Venice. Is it possible to train from Venice to Bellagio? Or must be travel to Milan, then make arrangements there? Also, someone told me that train from Milan to Varenna is best then take the ferry to Bellagio. They said it is quicker, cheaper, and easier(???)

Also, can you recommend hotel or B&B to stay in Bellagio. Prefer hotel, but never have stayed at a B&B. Thanks.

Venice to Varenna with a change in Milan. There is no train station in Bellagio. When you get off the train in Varenna walk down hill about 5 to 7 minutes to the ferry dock. It's very easy.

Hi RalphRT

Adrienne is right, it is very easy to get to Bellagio. You can check train schedules at www.trenitalia.com. The ferry from Varenna to Bellagio is about 10-15 minutes at most if I recall.

If you click on my name, you can see my trip report from last May. I went to Milan, Bellagio and Venice.

I can highly recommend La Limonera apartments. www.residencelalimonera.com

Have a great trip!

We have not been to Bellagio yet, but we will be there in May and are staying at the Hotel Centrale Bellagio. It got pretty good reviews on Trip Advisor, is not very expensive, and the owner (Giacomo) has been very kind and helpful. I think we are paying 160 euros a night.

Enjoy your trip! I know I'm excited for ours!

Arriving in Bellagio by ferry, and on foot, I suggest you look at Hotel Florence with a perfect loaction in town.
