Bellagio & Stresa Restaurants Recs?

Going to the Lake District in May and will be staying 3 days in Bellagio and 3 days in Stresa. Have the hotels lined up, Belvedere and Las Palmas. Anyone have any restaurants that they tried, like or been referred to? Thanks so much, Judy :-)

I highly recommend Bilacus on 30/32 Selita Serbelloni in Bellagio. It's a easy walk from the Belvedere. HOpefully, the weather will allow to dine outdoors at the restaurant.

Thanks Howard, I love to eat al fresco!

Hmmm Judy ! Do you prefer your al freso fried or broiled? At Bellagio you have 2 good options. Bilacus is certainly one--the other is the ristorante on Isola Comacina--they will pick you up by motor launch--ask at the hotel.
In Stresa, find Il Rustico on the hill above town and have lunch at Hotel Verbano on Isola Pescatori--have the catch of the day--al fresco !
Have a great time and we do want to hear about this trip.

Bob, you are such a comedian! Al fresco is very tasty and good for you too! Anyhoo, I love the idea of a restaurant sending a motor launch to pick you up; "only in Europe"! I am SO excited about this trip! I will post when I get back. Judy :-)

Regarding the Isola Comacina, do you know if they serve lunch at the restaurant, bobthenavigator? Also, is there anything else to do on the island? I have seen several recommendations for the restaurant, but am having a hard time finding info about the island on the web. Would it be worthwhile spending any daylight time on the island?

PS - Sorry for butting in on your post Judyrem.

Is Il Rustico a normal WALK from the center of town or the lakeshore area, or is it a dangerous walk at night?

I am not sure how to walk there--we did drive and that was years ago. A taxi cannot be much.
