Belgium in August / First-timers

My good-wife and I are headed for Belgium in late August ( 20th-28th ) and are interested in your recommendations for: Hotels, Cities and sights, Things to do etc.... We're driving from Stuttgart and then returning back to Germany on the 28th.. We like nice accommodations, good food, music, history and art...

My favorite places are Bruges and Antwerp. The main art museum in Antwerp is nice as well as the Peter Paul Reubens house. If you like WWII history, Bastogne is a cool town to witness the Battle of the Bulge battlefields. Also in the south is the Orval monastery where monks still make the Trappist beer and cheeses.
