Belgium and Netherlands
 

My husband and I will be travelling to Amsterdam in a few weeks and are spending a couple days travelling through Brussels, Brugges and Gent. We are staying in Gent at Hotel Cours-St. George. Has anyone ever stayed there. I would appreciate any advice, recommendations on restaurants and any comments. Thanks.

When we read posts about Bruges, we start to crave their wonderful chocolate. Please, you must sample at Maitre Chocolatier Verbeke located only a block from Market Square (see, you can walk off the calories...) at Geldmuntstraat 25. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. And, think of us....

One of my most favorite restaurants ever was in Ghent and i liked it for it's charm and hosts. It was not overly fancy but the dining room looked as if it could have been the host's home.
