Belgium : a asfe country

Accodring to former US ambassador in Belgium (because if the source is not US, nobody will believe me ) Belgium is still quite safe. (we're nr 14 on safety index on UN list, USA is 93)
We suffer from being too modest (I keep saying it) and don't do our marketing well enough - hence this thread.

Howard Gutman concludes : the biggest danger in Belgium is cholesterol, your food is too good.
(the guy has humour).

A safe country...

I often make this mistake.

It is because I have sex daily.

Beer is too strong - at least Trappists concoctions - more chance of being hurt or ending up in hospital due to potent brews than any terrorist attack.

No country is 100% safe - America has umpteen times as many maniac domestic shootings - mass murders at abortion clinics now than Belgium ever has.

Any large American city is way way more dangerous than Brussels. Just watch out for that brew!

Yes, Pariswat, I, along with St. Cirq, wondered if your wife saw your boast, knowing how many days and nights you spend in Paris.

On your original topic, I am sure Belgium is a safe country, but that is not an universal perception, I fear. My son has four Xmas Market huts in German cities, and tells me crowds are down a bit, possibly because of terrorist fears. He also says, however, he was in Brussels the other day and the markets he saw there were almost deserted, compared to those in Germany.

I thought your subject line was shorthand for this:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...=Asfe-Molenkai

As for the rest, I didn't assume you meant you were doing it with a partner.

No problems for Andrew Murray - oops, the British tennis team - who won the Davis Cup today in Ghent.

Perhaps Tyson Fury nipped over to do a spot of protecting
