Belgium

1st time in Brussels. I would like to vista Amsterdam for a day. What is the best way to travel. Do you have any places to visit in Belgium.
Thanks.

I do not think that visiting a city as large as Amsterdam, even if excluding its important museums, is worthwhile. There are many places to visit in Belgium. I mentioned two in your previous post. You really should consider getting a guidebook for the Benelux.

Hi, if you give us an idea of your interests you will probably get a better response. Your request is a bit general.

How much time do you have altogether?

What are your interests?

Who are you and when are you traveling?

Agree that a day is not enough for Amsterdam - and you can easily spend a couple of weeks in Belgium (although not in Brussels).

Um, did you read the replies to your previous question?

You have another thread going about the same thing - things get complicated when you do that.

Thanks everybody. I'm new to this whole blog thing. I'll try to be more specific. I plan on going to Brugge and Bastonge. I would love to see some history site's from World war 1 or 2.
It would just be a day trip to Amsterdam. Maybe I should see Ghent, or Antwerp instead.

We went to Bastogne a couple of years ago but rented a car to get around the area. If you don't you will need a tour. We stayed in the city at Hotel Melba, a Best Western and it was very nice. A lot to see and we went to Luxembourg one day to the National cemetery. Everything is marked well with these torch monuments. We went to the village of Sadzot where my Dad fought with the 509th PIR. The Memorials are very moving. I would explore Ghent or Antwerp instead of trying to go to Amsterdam if you are short on time. Great food and Beer in Belgium.

Hi, if you are interested to see things about the worldwar, you really have to visit Ieper in Belgium.
Greetings from Belgium
