What's your budget per night? What types of hotels do you prefer--modern or "quaint"? In the center of attractions or in a residential neighborhood?
BTilke (Brussels)

Neal: Just returned a week ago. Stayed at the Hotel Welcome in Brussels. What a kick. Staff is very freindly andhelpful. Had the a huge room on the 3rd floor. Huge bathroom also. Decorated in medieval clutter. Nice view of park. Good breakfast $120 per night. Eight minute walk to Grand Place.

Stayed at Hotel Hansa in Bruges. Upsacale at $205 per night, but, beautiful well appointed room and bath. Right in the old town and about a minute to plaza. One of the best breakfast buffets we have ever had in our travels.

Stayed at the Erasmus in Ghent, Again, what a kick. Had the "16th Century room"; large, well furnished, again, in medieval clutter. Building is actually from the 16th century. Great little formal garden. About five minutes from the river and main plaza. $120 per night. Loved Belgium.

We just returned from Bruges and stayed at hotel 't Voermanshuys. The room was great and clean. The hotel staff friendly and helpful and the location was great, very central. Just write me if you would like further information. We stayed at Hotel Stephanie several years ago in Brussels and it was the nicest room I have ever stayed in. I booked the room through an agent and we were on a budget but she must have received a good deal. The room was a real luxury! We had a wonderful dinner at "Bistro de Terre" Simon Stevinplein 15, Brugge. Our favorite tavern in Brugs is Pro Deo down by the windmills. I love Brugges and also enjoy Brussels.

I stayed at the Hotel Winsdor. It was functional. Food was excellent in its restaurant. Most facillities however are unavailable over the weekend ?

Perfectly placed for the Grand Place, just a walk around the corner!
