Belgium - 2 day trip
Hi Everyone.
My two brothers and I would like to spend the night in Bruges (Paris Bruges - Paris, can't change our plane ticket out of Paris). Do any of you know what the the train stop is in Bruges, I'm trying to get a TGV ticket and can only see Brussels. Suggestions for a hotel with triple occupancy is much appreciated too. Thanks |
That's because the TGV doesn't go to Bruges.
Just get your ticket to Brussels and then buy a RT ticket for the local train that runs from Brussles to Bruges once you arrive in Brussels - they leave every 1/2 hour or so. I don't believe you can buy the local train ticket (RT Brussels/Bruge) ahead of time - you wouldn't need to anyway - they don't fill up. |
You can either buy
TGV Paris to Lille, then ticket from Lille to Bruges OR Thalys Paris to Brussels Midi, then ticket from Brussels Midi to Bruges What's your budget for hotel? |
Buy the Thalys Any Belgian Station (TGB) ticket from Paris. The fare to Brugge will be included free.

Where do I buy the Thaly's ticket, can that be done online?
We are hoping for a decent hotel for around US$200. |
yes - http://www.thalys.com/
I can't recommend a specific hotel as I won't be there until June, but my research to date is showing that Bruge hotels similar in class/location to those in Paris are about 50% less costly - so you should have no problem whatsoever finding a very nice place for well under $200. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g1...rs-Hotels.html |
We won't be in Brugge until the end of April, but I have a room for two nights in the Albert1 Hotel. It looks good on the website, www.hotel-albert1.be and has nice reviews. It shows a triple for 120 euros or $189.00. Breakfast is included.

Using the Thalys site, I bought 2 tickets Paris - Bruges via Lille. Cost was 69.20 Euro for both.
