Belfast to Dublin- scenic on the train?

We are going to Belfast for a few days with a couple of trips out - Mourne mountains and the Causeway and beyond. We are thinking of taking the train to Dublin and flying home from there, is the trip scenic enough for that to be worthwhile please?
Thank you

We did the drive between Belfast and Dublin and I don't recall that it was particularly scenic. But it is a quick trip and I understand that flights are often cheaper out of Dublin than Belfast.

I took the train two weeks ago from Dublin to Belfast and back. You do get to see some of the countryside which is nice to look at. I wouldn't call the ride overly exciting but it wasn't boring. There was plenty of space on the train so you can spread out if needed.
