Belfast Hotel Recommendation?

We're making early (somewhat optimistic) tentative plans to go to Belfast during Easter week, and are looking for accomodations close by the Waterfront Hall. We'd like one that is within walking distance, if such is possible. None of us has ever been to Belfast, and we will be a party of at least 6 and possibly 10.

btw, it's a great hotel. It's about 10 minute walk to the center, great views of river.

I tried that one almost immediately...it is completely sold out for Easter week.

I was hoping for recommendations of places that are convenient to the Hall but are smaller, or don't advertise aggressively:) , in hopes that something may still be available.

Belfast is not that big so if you can't find one near the Waterfont hall look in the center. I have stayed the travelodge in Brunswick street. It is a great location at a resonable price. It is only about half a mile I think fom the Waterfront you could walk it or taxi for just a few pounds.

kswl,

I checked availibility at the Hilton and it's available beforer and after Easter, including Easter Sunday. It's not cheap (~$350US per night).

There's a new (well, built in 2005) Radisson SAS that would be walkable to the Waterfront. It's in the Gas Works. It's mainly surrounded by offices, but as Belfast isn't very big, you're not that far from everything.

Not in the area specified but worth mentioning the Culloden Hotel in Holywood, the Europa in central Belfast and if availability is limited, the Dunadry which is out of town.

I had completely forgotten about this! AA, the only rooms I could find at the Hilton were singles or twins, no family rooms. I'll check again.

Lots of people make reservations in anticipation of needing them for this event, and then give them up when their dancer does not qualify. I will check it out again and also the others... thanks!
