Been to Venice lately?

I'm going next week. Are they still having their high water problems? If so, how often?

The high tide usually ends around march-april, so I dont think you'll find this phenomenon in Venice when you go next week

we just spent 8 days in venice the second week of march.
i was worried about the rain and/or aqua alta...packed extra shoes and figured i might have to buy some wellies if it got really bad..
nothing~
no rain..no high water...sometimes it's just luck tho..
so be prepared for the worst and you may be pleasantly surprised~

We were there over Easter and there was no high water. :)

This all sounds great. I hope we are as fortunate as you were. We were there for 3 days in the fall of 1999 and the high water showed up one morning but was gone by noon. But it was a mess while it was there.
