Been to Saint-Raphael?

I have a chance to spend a week in San Raphael on the Riviera. How far is it from Nice? What do you think about it?
I have been to Nice/Monaco/Cannes and loved it. Does it compare? Thanks!

Been to St. Raphael two years ago. It has absolutely not the same flair than Cannes and Monaco, but we liked it better than Nice which we find old and dirty.
In St. Raphael there are many families with children and it is centrally located between St. Tropez and Menton. From Nice it must be abt. 80 km.

I never spent time in St Raphael; it was where we got off the train and got on the bus to St Tropez. It's on a trainline from Nice; to get to Grimaud or St Tropez, you catch the bus from St Raphael (trains and buses are quite often).

And, anyway, how bad can it be? It's the Riviera!

St Raphael is a good place for families. A more quiet Riviera...I think you'd need a car to travel to Nice or St. Tropez, but it's a beautiful drive.
