Hi bayougirl, yes it was "sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite"..you are correct lol.
BTW, I believe is was Neil from OZ that told me that is an English saying. My father's mother was born and raised in London so probably she heard it when she was a young lass? |
The first time that I have heard that strange expression was in a letter that my DH sent me while I was in Rome with my children.
I could not figure out the meanings..I knew that must be a cute way for an American to say GoodNight to a loved one, but I kept wondering about it and could not figure out what it actually meant. Very strange Expression.. |
thankfully no bed bug tales to tell

Friends of ours were in Rome this past May, at a hotel near the Pantheon, and found bed bugs the first night. They had trouble getting management to acknowledge any problem, but finally were moved to another room. Unfortunately, my friend couldn't remember the name of the hotel!! It would be a rather 'nice' one, knowing my friends. Anyone else have a problem near the Pantheon??

How can a person forget the name of a hotel, especially after such dreadful experience? Sound fishy to me..
|
Not fishy, I assure you, just forgetful. I asked him at a time when he was pre-occupied, and not really trying to remember.
(P.S. I think this forum would be more pleasant, if we refrain from being judgemental and suspicious of one another's comments.) |
