bed & breakfast or hotel in paris? which is better?

Has anyone stayed at a bed & breakfast in Paris? If so, what are the benefits vs a hotel? And which one did you stay at?

There are relatively few B&Bs in Paris - compared to some other cities/countries. There are so many wonderful small hotels I don't think I'd personally search for a B&B.

What is your budget?

A couple of years ago, my husband and I arrived in Paris to discover that there had been a mix up on our reservation and that we had no hotel. What saved the day was staying at a B&B from Good Morning Paris. It was delightful, less money, and well located. Our hostess was an artist so our room was nicely decorated. She brought us a breakfast tray each morning. We had our own entrance from a lovely courtyard. Last year our grandsons stayed with Good Morning Paris. They enjoyed their stay too.
They have a website and answer e-mail quickly. Good Luck!

janisj, not sure what the budget is right now, as long as it is clean and has a decent sized bathroom, i dont mind paying! :)

After alot of research, we have decided to rent an apartment 1/2 mile from my SIL's place. It is near the Jardin Du Luxembourg. I found it on a great website, apartmentinparis.com. We are only paying $575euros for the week compared to alot more for a hotel room. I spoke to someone in charge in Paris last week, she sent me the contract, insurance, a copy of the agreement and she was very nice and helpful. I'll let you know how it turns out.
We are going July 18-25th.
