Beauvais vs. CDG

Thank you to those who have responded with assistance. I've found a flight from Paris/Beauvais to Rome/Ciampino. My flight from Los Angeles arrives at CDG. So to get from CDG to Beauvais, worth the effort? Ryan Air = 54 Euros (BVA to CIA). Whereas the flight from CDG to Rome = 200 Euros (major carrier). Any thoughts?

Sturion, Volare Air flies out of Orly Airport as there is a bus service for transfers between CDG and Orly. The web site is volareweb.com. Have a great trip!!! Mike

The direct bus service between CDG and Orly is called the Air France Coach. However, don't be misled by the title. These are public buses and you don't have to be an Air France customer to use them.

From the centre of Paris to Beauvais takes about 1 hour and costs 10Euros by coach. Check out www.aeroportbeauvais.com and you can see a direct connection to CDG. However only you can decide if the money saved is worth the hassle after a long flight. Have a good holiday whichever you chose. Ice

I am a big Ryanair fan, and have used Beauvais airport- - and I say this is a case of volareweb.com being the preferable option for you.

Best wishes,

Rex

Thank you for the responses. I have checked with Volare and found a flight for $212.00 Euros, which is not that far off if I chose to fly out of CDG. With Volare, I would have to travel from CDG to Orly. Any other suggestions? Do you think I should wait as I get closer to my date of departure for last minute deals?

How much time are you allowing between flights? Switching airports will always take more time than you expect. Also, count on your first flight being late and your baggage being delayed (I'm an eternal optimist). I'd hate to spend more than 100 Euros more on a flight than I needed, but missing the second flight could be more costly than that. Work out the timing to see what would be the best choice.
