Beaune Hotel Recs

I am thinking of planning a weekend trip to Burgundy when my mother comes to visit my husband & I in Germany this coming May. I am looking for a hotel in or around Beaune. Our budget would be 150-200 Euros a night for the three of us, preferably in two rooms & including breakfast. We would have a car so are flexible with location. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

We stayed at the Hotel de la Poste right outside the walled city a few year ago. It has free parking, and is a charming hotel with a good restaurant.

Hi CB,

I can highly recommend www.hotel-grillon.fr/

It's convenient to the highway if you have a car.

If not, it's about 0:20 hr walk to the city center.

WE always stay at the Hostellierie de Bretonnaire, just outside the walled city. On site parking, and you can walk into Beaune. Makes it convenient as parking in Beaune can be a hassle. Ask for the Garden rooms. The are 2 story duplex types, each with a small patio with a table and chairs out front. Quiet and nice, they are also only about 3 years old.

Another vote for Hostellerie

I will second the Hotel Grillon. We had a small room, but very nice. The price is very reasonable. The breakfast room is quite nice - all bright and airy with windows all around.

Hotel Grillon, we loved it

Another vote for Hotel Grillon. The woman (maybe owner?) we met was a transplanted American. We had taken the wrong exit and got terribly lost in town and had to call from another hotel for directions. She was wonderful; told us later she nearly drove in to pick us up.

We had the room with the montgolfiers on the wall--I think others have mentioned it here. It was a nice, quiet place.
