Beaune - Burgundy
 

Beaune in Burgundy sounds like a nice place to visit by rail from Paris.

Can anyone recommend a hotel and also how long and convenient is the rail
ride from Paris.

I need a hotel that I can easily get to from the rail station and a hotel that is conveniently located.

We stayed at Hotel Grillon and it was great. Not sure how far it is from the rail station, but it cant be that far as its a small town.

We're booked into Hotel de la Paix for Sept, about 700m or 10 mins walk from the station (based on Google map), and the same or less into the very center of Beaune.

There is a hotel directly across from the station, but it didn't 'sound' that nice in reviews.

We're also booked at Hotel de la Paix in Sept. I had also considered Hotel Grillon - it's just further out of town.

Very happy with the choice.

It's about a 15 min walk into the center of town, if you are a tourist.

www.viamichelin.com says 12 min to the Gare de Beaune.
