What's the Airborne throat geL?

I took the table lst ight and this AM, but still tickly.

SeaUrchin Nov 25th, 2007 09:52 AM

It is Airborne Gummi Lozenges.

Take the tablets every three hours. It builds up your resistance. I hope you caught it in time (no pun intended).

When I was in Paris in Oct., I got some kind of upper respiratory/sinus thing and was beginning to cough and unable to find anything with guiafenesin in it at the pharmacy--said they had no idea what I was talking about. They recommended Necrayne (nasal spray) with ritiometan magnesien as the main ingredient. It worked beautifully, and I was sorry to see that the remaining contents of the bottle seeped out during the flight home. My doc here had no idea what this French product is, but I wish it were available here.

yes, a little overkill. It worked. That nasal spray sounds good too. I wonder if there is any way to order it.

Since my sore throat is now worse and I leave for Paris/Barcelona in 2 days, I'm not sure what to do. Whether ornot to go. (sigh)

I'm supposed to be presenting at a conference and also celebratig a friend's birthday (7 of us are gong).

HELP!!

Kenav, I can recommend the usual - go to bed, eat a bunch of garlic (raw and cooked), no junk food, and lots of citrus. When do you have to make the decision about whether to cancel? I'm sorry that you are in this predicament. I can't say it will be the same for you, but in December 2004 I left for Italy when really not quite well, and I rapidly improved once there and had a great time.

I can make a decision the day we leave - Wed. We have travel insurance and I guess I'd have to go to my doctor and he'd have to write a note, or something (like being back in elementary school). My friends would be majorly disappointed as I set this thing up!

If I feel like I do today, I'll go. Just worried that It'll get worse tomorrow. I have come down with some real terrible colds - sore throat, aches and total exhaustion- and I hope it doesn't get to be like that.

An update: the DH and I have both been using Wellness Formula, a combination of vitamins and herbal supplements, throughout the fall, winter, and spring seasons. We are both in health care and work in a medical building and have been exposed to tons of coughing, ill people for months. For the first time ever, we did not catch anything the whole time, and we attribute it to the immunity building attributes of these wellness formula "horse pills" (they are huge).

Update on my Paris-Barcelona trip with a cold. Well, the cold went away, away. Felt fine the whole time!

This past September, for the first time ever, I got a free flu shot. Haven't gotten sick all Winter.
