Beaches/Swimming near Sorrento?

My cruise ship stops in Sorrento. I've been to Capri, Pompeii, Amalfi, Positano, etc. several times. I thought I'd do an easy day in Sorrento - maybe find a nice place to swim, sunbathe? Are there any places I could walk to from the pier? I recall staying at a hotel years ago that had a jetty for swimming. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I recall that there are public jetties near the Capri ferry dock in Sorrento. They honestly didn't look too attractive.

If you go to Flickr.com and search "beach sorrento italy" there are good pics of the "beach."

Thanks. Might have to find a quiet cafe instead. :-)
