Beach Hotels in Italy

We are looking for a small or medium sized classic Italian or boutique style seafront hotel in a small town in Italy with beaches that have the chaise lounge and umbrella -- but in a small non-crowded setting. I am happy to learn about this type of hotel in any location in Italy.

We have stayed Hotel Mediterannea in Taormina, Sicily-- which was just like I describe.

We have also stayed at a hotel call Acquamarina in Donnalucata near Marina Ragusa in Sicily -- another example of what we are looking for.

Thank you!!!

Look at Castellabate and Maratea, for starters.

Camogli, in Liguria.

Also check the coast of Le Marche. In particular Senigallia.

As long as you are not going in August, I would bet that Sicily's islands would have just what you are looking for. I only got as far as Levanzo but the water was clear, sky blue, sand bright... beautiful (but no beach umbrellas) But I'm told Favignana does as well as the Aolians.
