Beach Clubs St. Tropez?
I am traveling to St. Tropez this July and was a bit confused about how the beaches work there. I have been to Cannes, but have always had a "beach spot" through my hotel. While in St. Tropez we are staying at a small hotel just outside the town which obviously does not have part of the beach reserved. Are there public beaches where we could go? And as far as private, I have heard of beach clubs but don't know much about them. Do you have to reserve in advance? Is it very expensive? If you have answers and experience please reply :)) Thanks!!

It's been a while since I was in St. Tropez but there were some nice beach clubs on Plage de Tahiti and Plage de Pampelonne. These beach clubs offer amenities like bars, restaurant, beauty centre, sports activities, ... some both during the day and the night. Access is free but you will have to pay for a sunbed and a parasol. And eating & drinking are expensive!

thanks so much for the suggestion. Do you have to get there early during the high season or is there enough availbility despite crowds?

We've never been there in high season (July/Aug). I remember that our biggest problem was getting rid of the car (in June, that is).

yes. get there early. it helps in getting a lounger and parasol if you want that and above all, you will beat the traffic - tahiti beach is great.

thanks for all your help!

reserve your mattress and lunch (at the club restaurant) in advance if you go. Mattress generally 35E per day per mattress, depends on the club. Tres chic.
