Be careful of alpanese apartment
 

Alpanese apartment in zell am see in Austria asks customers to pay double the booking price if booking was made through booking.com

this from my personal experience I advise you not to deal with alpanese apartment

moreover Booking.com will not help you at all if you complain because they only care about their commission

So you are saying that you booked a place for say $100 a night and when you get there, they say you have to pay $200 a night? Was there perhaps a misunderstanding that you only paid a deposit? Or you booked for $100 for one night and then you had to pay a cleaning fee of $100 which isn't included in that fee, but disclosed in the terms?

Do you mean Alpensee apartments? If so, how do you account for the fact that it has been on booking.com for 6 years with hundreds of reviews (not saying that) and has a 7.7 rating, if this is true?

Welcome to Fodors. Most of the time when people register just to complain about someplace or other -- folks can be pretty skeptical . . . And I am.

You don't give any details so we don't know 1) if you made a booking error, or 2) misunderstood the terms, or 3) if its possible the apartments cheated you, or 4) Booking made some sort of mistake. I'm inclined to think it is one of the first two . . .

Credibility kind of explodes when you don't know the name of the place you booked.

OTOH if one were trying to ruin a reputation they certainly would spell the place correctly?

I assume some mix-up happened and OP thinks he/she was being taken but in reality not - booking.com would have too much to lose and would investigate such a claim if valid.

But I think OP genuine.
