Be Careful
 

I accessed one of the the links sent by someone giving a link to venice accomodation and it contained a virus (trojent) be careful when you access the links in the forum. Make sure you have anti virus software.

beargirl, i have been doing lots of reading on here about venice and italy in the past couple days. could you please list the poster and the specific link. obviously you have me very worried.
also please please report this to the editors so they can take down the post or remove the link.
running my virus scan now.

Well it's no news at all that anyone accessing any site on the internet should make sure to have anti virus software, right?

I did have anti virus software, however the virus was still detected, it was no problem. I was warning users to made sure they do have anti virus software. I find it a bit annoying that people add links with viruses connected to them.

It's absolutely impossible to check links for hidden viruses when posting them. It's not that poster's fault. That's one of the dangers of the internet which can occur anywhere.
