We're planning on staying a few nights in Bruges, Amsterdam & Brussels in early July. Our preference is to stay in charming B&B's that are moderately priced (less than $100 US/night). Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I went into the B and B forum on Fodor's homepage and went with their recommendations for Amsterdam and Brussels.

Rick steves has wonderful suggestions for B&B's in Brugge, not sure about the others. If you go to a book store and look at his books (vs on the web) I've seen e-mail addresses for them. On the web itis www.ricksteves.com. We are staying in Brugge also, at a B&B which has escaped my mind at the moment. I also got a listing from the tourism Bureau that listed all B&B's. I don't know the address on the web off hand but try to search for Belguim travel network and there will be a place for you to leave your address for them to send you info.

I stayed at the Hotel Jacob in Bruges. Well under $100. I liked it very much. We were even able to exchange travel checks there at a good rate without a commission. Short, easy walk into the center of the town, but far enough away to be very quiet.

We also stayed at the Hotel Jacob in Brugges. Liked it very much.In Amsterdam we stayed at the Hotel Het Canal. We paid under $100US, that was a few years ago. Really loved the place and the area, very convient. Have fun
